William Butler 
William was born on October 21st, 1824. William's father was James B. Butler and his mother was Elizabeth Frances Hansard. His paternal grandparents were James McGehee Butler and Sarah Christopher. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James, John Singleton, Martha Jane, Permelia Caroline, Margaret, Rhoda Rebekar and Nancy S.. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
