William Butler 
William was born in 1837 in Coosa Co., AL. William's father was James M. Butler and his mother was Nancy Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Butler and Mehala Cole; his maternal grandfather was John Taylor. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the five children.-
