John Butler 
John was born in 1838 in Coosa Co., AL. John's father was James M. Butler and his mother was Nancy Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Butler and Mehala Cole; his maternal grandfather was John Taylor. He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the second oldest of the five children.-
