Richard A. Bowles

Richard A. was born in 1838. Richard A.'s father was Drury Wood Knight Bowles and his mother was Mary Ann Richardson. His paternal grandparents were Knight Bowles and Martha Wood Ellis; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Richardson and Elizabeth Barrett Payne. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George Knight, John Sam, Thomas Joseph, Drury Wood, Lucy Susan, Letitia Payne, Martha Ann and Mary Eliza. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
