George Knight Bowles 
George Knight was born on December 7th, 1822. George Knight's father was Drury Wood Knight Bowles and his mother was Mary Ann Richardson. His paternal grandparents were Knight Bowles and Martha Wood Ellis; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Richardson and Elizabeth Barrett Payne. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Sam, Richard A., Thomas Joseph, Drury Wood, Lucy Susan, Letitia Payne, Martha Ann and Mary Eliza. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 on April 17th, 1910.General Notes
