Josias Payne 
Josias was born on October 30th, 1705 in St. James Northam Parish, Goochland Co., VA. Josias' father was George Payne and his mother was Mary Woodson. His paternal grandparents were William Payne and Susannah Merriman; his maternal grandparents were Robert Woodson and Elizabeth Ferris. He had three brothers named George, John and Robert. He died at the age of 80 in December 1785 in Pittsylvania Co., VA.General Notes
