George Ashby Bowles 
George Ashby was born on May 11th, 1883. George Ashby's father was Richard C. Bowles and his mother was Sallie Howard Payne. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Perkins Bowles and Elizabeth Barrett Richardson; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Clark Payne and Sallie Curd Flannagan. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Payne, Willie Curd, Riva Eleanor and Mattie Eugenia. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Perkins and Mary Eliza. He died at the age of 73 on June 1st, 1956.-
