Walter Shelton Armstrong 
Walter Shelton was born on August 22nd, 1884 in Ashland, Hanover Co., VA. Walter Shelton's father was Zachariah Pulliam Armstrong and his mother was Willie Ann Amos. His paternal grandparents were David Armstrong and Frances Mitchell Pulliam; his maternal grandparents were William Franklin Amos and Frances Jane Faudree. He had five brothers and five sisters, named David, Dudley Pulliam, George Washington, Kemper, Zachariah Pulliam, Lenora, Hester, Nancy Jennings, Amber Bell and Ruby Anderson. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 66 on July 2nd, 1951.-
