Hester Armstrong 
Hester was born on June 20th, 1873 in Lickinghole, Goochland Co., VA. Hester's father was Zachariah Pulliam Armstrong and her mother was Willie Ann Amos. Her paternal grandparents were David Armstrong and Frances Mitchell Pulliam; her maternal grandparents were William Franklin Amos and Frances Jane Faudree. She had six brothers and four sisters, named David, Dudley Pulliam, George Washington, Kemper, Zachariah Pulliam, Walter Shelton, Lenora, Nancy Jennings, Amber Bell and Ruby Anderson. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 3 in 1876.-
