Lydia Lockett Amos 
Lydia Lockett was born on June 12th, 1881 in Goochland Co., Virginia. Lydia Lockett's father was James Pleasants Amos and her mother was Elizabeth Jones Slayden. Her paternal grandparents were William Franklin Amos and Frances Jane Faudree; her maternal grandparents were George Washington Slayden and Sarah Wood Clark. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles Cleveland, James Washington, Seymore Clyde, Hester Ann, Mary Lucy, Claudia Herndon, Gertrude May and Elsie Arlington. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 92 on November 16th, 1973 in Glen Allen, Henrico Co., Virginia.-
