James Pleasants Amos 
James Pleasants was born on September 15th, 1855 in Vontay, Hanover Co., VA. James Pleasants' father was William Franklin Amos and his mother was Frances Jane Faudree. His paternal grandparents were Pleasants Amos and Elizabeth Kerr Johnson; his maternal grandparents were James Knight Faudree and Frances Nuckols. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William Quinton, Benjamin Franklin, John Wesley, Americus, Willie Ann, Lucy Catherine, Mary Elizabeth, Eliza Frances and Martha Jane. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 86 on April 15th, 1942 in Oilville, Goochland Co., VA.-
