William Quinton Amos 
William Quinton was born on April 11th, 1860 in Vontay, Hanover Co., VA. William Quinton's father was William Franklin Amos and his mother was Frances Jane Faudree. His paternal grandparents were Pleasants Amos and Elizabeth Kerr Johnson; his maternal grandparents were James Knight Faudree and Frances Nuckols. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James Pleasants, Benjamin Franklin, John Wesley, Americus, Willie Ann, Lucy Catherine, Mary Elizabeth, Eliza Frances and Martha Jane. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 77 on January 12th, 1938.-
