Mary Elizabeth Amos 
Mary Elizabeth was born on March 15th, 1858 in Vontay, Hanover Co., VA. Mary Elizabeth's father was William Franklin Amos and her mother was Frances Jane Faudree. Her paternal grandparents were Pleasants Amos and Elizabeth Kerr Johnson; her maternal grandparents were James Knight Faudree and Frances Nuckols. She had five brothers and four sisters, named James Pleasants, William Quinton, Benjamin Franklin, John Wesley, Americus, Willie Ann, Lucy Catherine, Eliza Frances and Martha Jane. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 78 on May 4th, 1936.-
