William Sumpter 
William was born in 1768.1 William's father was *Henry Sumpter and his mother was Agnes D Dillon. His paternal grandparents were *Richard Sumpter and *Jean LNU; his maternal grandparents were *William Dillon and Mary Belcher. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, George Washington, Henry, *Sarah Compton, Agnes, Sally and Polly. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 82 in 1850 in Reynolds, Missouri, United States.1 -
