Walter McCotter

Walter was born about 1888 in Vandemere, Pamlico Co., NC.¹ Walter's father was Thomas York McCotter and his mother was Caroline Delamar. His paternal grandparents were Richard Harvey McCotter and Julia Ann Delamar. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Richard Franklin, Thomas York, John, Claud Duvall Mckay, James Winfred, Pauline, Reginia Bucklin, Mary Elzi, Annie Byron and Elizabeth "Bessie". He was the youngest of the eleven children. He had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Richard Frank, Thomas York, Claud D, James W, Pauline, Regenia Bucklin Ange, Minie, Annie Brown, Mary E, Anna and Annie Estelle.
