Mary Elzi McCotter

Mary Elzi was born on May 8th, 1879 in Vandemere, Pamlico Co., NC.¹ Mary Elzi's father was Thomas York McCotter and her mother was Caroline Delamar. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Harvey McCotter and Julia Ann Delamar. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Richard Franklin, Thomas York, John, Claud Duvall Mckay, James Winfred, Walter, Pauline, Reginia Bucklin, Annie Byron and Elizabeth "Bessie". She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Richard Frank, Thomas York, Claud D, James W, Pauline, Regenia Bucklin Ange, Minie, Annie Brown, Mary E, Anna and Annie Estelle. She died at the age of 82 on November 2nd, 1961.²
