Male James Winfred McCotter

James Winfred was born on November 23rd, 1885 in Vandemere, Pamlico Co., NC.1   James Winfred's father was Thomas York McCotter and his mother was Caroline Delamar.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Harvey McCotter and Julia Ann Delamar. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Richard Franklin, Thomas York, John, Claud Duvall Mckay, Walter, Pauline, Reginia Bucklin, Mary Elzi, Annie Byron and Elizabeth "Bessie".  He was the nineth oldest of the eleven children. He had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Richard Frank, Thomas York, Claud D, James W, Pauline, Regenia Bucklin Ange, Minie, Annie Brown, Mary E, Anna and Annie Estelle.  He died at the age of 76 on September 8th, 1962 in Fuquay Springs, Wake Co., NC.2
