Meryl was born on June 26th, 1900.  Meryl's father was Percy Alexander Findlay and her mother was Alice Emily Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry(Harry) Alexander Findlay and Jane Watson. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Algernon, Norman, Selwyn, Ila, Gwendoline, Lorna and Nancy.  She was the fifth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 80 on March 30th, 1981.

Meryl and William were married on August 30th, 1934.  They had a son named Kan.
