Gwendoline was born on January 2nd, 1903.  Gwendoline's father was Percy Alexander Findlay and her mother was Alice Emily Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry(Harry) Alexander Findlay and Jane Watson. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Algernon, Norman, Selwyn, Ila, Meryl, Lorna and Nancy.  She was the sixth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 84 on October 4th, 1987.

Gwendoline and Carl were married on June 16th, 1926.  They had seven sons and four daughters, named Donald, Robert, Kenneth, Anthony, Graeme, John, Bruce, Betty , Joan, Lois and Nancy.
