James Cowan

James was born in 1725. James' father was Hugh Cowan and his mother was Ann Mathias. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Cowan and Mary Jane Davidson. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Mathias and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named David, Ann and Margaret. He died at the age of 26 in 1751.
