William was born on September 12th, 1708 in Suffolk, Whatfield and was baptised on December 10th, 1708. William's father was William Coufsins and his mother was Lydia. His paternal grandparents were William Coufsins and Elizabeth Angier; his. He was the second of eight children. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Edward, Samuel, John, Mary, Sarah and Lydia. He died, at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 5 days, on August 17th, 1775 in Suffolk, Polstead.
