Mary was born in year 1705 in Suffolk, Whatfield and was baptised on September 10th, 1705.  Mary's father was William Coufsins and her mother was Lydia.  Her paternal grandparents were William Coufsins and Elizabeth Angier; her.  She was the oldest of eight children.  She had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Edward, Samuel, John, Sarah and Lydia.
