Sarah was born in year 1720 in Suffolk, Whatfield and was baptised on June 10th, 1720.  Sarah's father was William Coufsins and her mother was Lydia.  Her paternal grandparents were William Coufsins and Elizabeth Angier; her.  She was the sixth of eight children.  She had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Edward, Samuel, John, Mary and Lydia.
