William was born in year 1757 in Suffolk, Polstead and was baptised on October 2nd, 1757.  William's father was William Coufsins and his mother was Mary Garrad.  His paternal grandparents were William Coufsins and Lydia; his maternal grandparents were  William Garrad and  Alice.  He was an only child.

William's family with Ann Death

William and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on October 3rd, 1780 in Suffolk, Stoke by Nayland.  They had a son named James.
