James L Thornton

James L was born in March 1857 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.¹ James L's father was William Thornton and his mother was Mary (Thornton). His paternal grandparents were Thomas Thornton and Harriet Asquith. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Albert, Benjamin, Hannah and Mary Ellen. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 53 in December 1910 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.
