Rosabelle was born in 1832.¹ Rosabelle's father was John C Younkin and her mother was Kathleen “Jane” Connelly (Younkin). Her paternal grandparents were Frederick G Younkin and Catherine Patton (Younkin). She had two brothers and five sisters, named Moses, Alexander, Kate, Elizabeth, Jane, Agnes and Pertenah. She was the youngest of the eight children.
