Elizabeth's father was John C Younkin and her mother was Kathleen “Jane” Connelly (Younkin). Her paternal grandparents were Frederick G Younkin and Catherine Patton (Younkin). She had two brothers and five sisters, named Moses, Alexander, Kate, Jane, Agnes, Pertenah and Rosabelle. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died about 1845 in Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa, USA.¹
