Moses Younkin

Moses was born on November 10th, 1820 in Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.¹ Moses' father was John C Younkin and his mother was Kathleen “Jane” Connelly (Younkin). His paternal grandparents were Frederick G Younkin and Catherine Patton (Younkin). He had a brother and six sisters, named Alexander, Kate, Elizabeth, Jane, Agnes, Pertenah and Rosabelle. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 78 on May 28th, 1899 in Batavia, Jefferson County, Iowa, USA. He was buried at the Agency Cemetery, Agency, Wapello County, Iowa, USA.¹¹
