Mary Mourning McCown 
Mary Mourning was born on May 27th, 1855 in Bean Blossom, Monroe, Indiana, USA. Mary Mourning's father was Elijah Thomas McCown and her mother was Nancy Jane Williams. Her paternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William Parker, Elijah Thomas, Edward Mordicai, Amanda Jane, Julia Florence and Margaret Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John Lewis, James Andrew and Frances Ann. She died at the age of 73 in 1928.-
