Edward Mordicai was born on March 27th, 1867 in Bean Blossom, Monroe, Indiana, USA. Edward Mordicai's father was Elijah Thomas McCown and his mother was Nancy Jane Williams. His paternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Parker, Elijah Thomas, Mary Mourning, Amanda Jane, Julia Florence and Margaret Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John Lewis, James Andrew and Frances Ann. He died at the age of 74 in 1941 in Ellettsville, Monroe, Indiana, USA.-
