Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin and Margaret Witherspoon; her maternal grandparents were Increase Daniels and Elona Thayer. She had a brother and seven sisters, named David, Charissa Daniels, Melinda, Elona, Chastina, Harriet N., Emily and Ellen. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 78 on January 25th, 1896 in Ironton, Lawrence, Ohio, United States.1 Death Notes
