Melinda Rankin 
Melinda was born on March 21st, 1811 in Littleton, Grafton, New Hampshire, United States.1 Melinda's father was David Rankin and her mother was Persis Daniel. Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin and Margaret Witherspoon; her maternal grandparents were Increase Daniels and Elona Thayer. She had a brother and seven sisters, named David, Charissa Daniels, Elona, Chastina, Harriet N., Persis Daniel, Emily and Ellen. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 77 on December 8th, 1888 in Bloomington, Sangamon, Illinois, United States. She was buried in Bloomington, McLean, Illinois, United States.2 2 Death Notes
