Elona was born on September 20th, 1812 in Littleton, Grafton, New Hampshire, United States.1 Elona's father was David Rankin and her mother was Persis Daniel. Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin and Margaret Witherspoon; her maternal grandparents were Increase Daniels and Elona Thayer. She had a brother and seven sisters, named David, Charissa Daniels, Melinda, Chastina, Harriet N., Persis Daniel, Emily and Ellen. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 78 in 1890 in Haverhill, Scioto, Ohio, United States.1 Death Notes
