Ellen Rankin 
Ellen was born in 1824 in Littleton, Grafton, New Hampshire, United States.1 Ellen's father was David Rankin and her mother was Persis Daniel. Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin and Margaret Witherspoon; her maternal grandparents were Increase Daniels and Elona Thayer. She had a brother and seven sisters, named David, Charissa Daniels, Melinda, Elona, Chastina, Harriet N., Persis Daniel and Emily. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 40 in 1864 in Haverhill, Scioto, Ohio, United States.1 Death Notes
