Charissa Daniels was born on January 21st, 1809 in Littleton, Grafton, New Hampshire, United States.1   Charissa Daniels' father was David Rankin and her mother was Persis Daniel.  Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin and Margaret Witherspoon; her maternal grandparents were Increase Daniels and Elona Thayer. She had a brother and seven sisters, named David, Melinda, Elona, Chastina, Harriet N., Persis Daniel, Emily and Ellen.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 63 on November 3rd, 1872 in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois, United States.  She was buried in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois, United States.2 2

They had two sons and a daughter, named Frances Harriet, Frank F. and Helen Edna.
