Jan Hanby

Jan was born on February 28th, 1783.  Jan's father was Cpt Jonathan Hanby and her mother was Sarah Matilda Dalton.  Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Dalton Sr and Anne. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, David, Samuel, Gabriel, William, Susannah, Mary, Nancy and Sarah.  She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 34 on October 2nd, 1817.
