Tobiasz Markus (Mordko) was born on March 3rd, 1850 in Golub-Dobrzyn, Poland.1   Tobiasz Markus (Mordko)'s father was Abram Lewin (Layb) Pieniek and his mother was Szrenia Warszawa.  His paternal grandparents were Tobiasz Pieniek and Ester Bezbrody; his maternal grandparents are Jakob Warszawa and Bayla. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jakob Jozef, Ber, Hena Gitel, Chana Sura and Hendel.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 1 on February 20th, 1852 in Golub-Dobrzyn, Poland.1
