Mary was born in 1796 in Sale, Cheshire, England.  Mary's father was John MARSLAND and her mother was Martha ALDCROFT.  Her paternal grandparents were John MARSLAND and Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Robert, John, James, James, Thomas, Samuel, Elizabeth and Martha.  She was the eighth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 47 on August 4th, 1843.
