Hannah was born on June 1st, 1800 in Ashton On Mersey, Cheshire, England.  Hannah's father was James MARSLAND and her mother was Betty LEIGH.  Her paternal grandparents were John MARSLAND and Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Edward, James, Mary, Martha, Betty and Rachel.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
