Margaret was born on January 10th, 1786 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England and her baptism took place there on January 10th, 1786.1   Margaret's father was Edward COWEN (COWEY) and her mother was Mary ARMSTRONG. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Edward, George, James, Ann, Dorothy and Mary.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died due to a childhood disease at the age of 2 on March 9th, 1788 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.
