Susannah was born on June 1st, 1815 and her baptism took place on July 16th, 1815 in Cawthorne by Barnsley.1 2  Susannah's father was John Marshall and her mother was Sophia Senier.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Marshall and Sarah Hattersley; her maternal grandfather was George Senior (Taylor) and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had three brothers and four sisters, named George, John, Timothy, Ellen, Rachael, Mary and Sophia.
