Rosalia Seraphina was born on July 22nd, 1863 in Paal.¹ Rosalia Seraphina's father was Karel (Carolus Charles) Gaethofs and her mother was Ludovica (Louisa) Van der Heijden. Her paternal grandparents were Josephus Gaethofs and Anna Christina Van Eerdewegh; her maternal grandparents were Sebastiaan Vanderheyden and Marie Elisabeth Meyen.
