Henricus Edgard, known as Henri, was born on December 10th, 1887 in Antwerpen.1   Henri's father was Karel (Carolus Charles) Gaethofs and his mother was Dorothea Stephania Pluckers.  His paternal grandparents were Josephus Gaethofs and Anna Christina Van Eerdewegh; his maternal grandfather was Ludovicus Pluckers and his maternal grandmother is Maria Blondina Bervoets.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Augustinus, Carolus, Eugeen, Maria Antonia, Maria Coleta, Bernardina and Rosalia Maria.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Josephus, Pieter Jan, Rosalia Seraphina, Maria Philomena, Regina, Maria Catherina Mathilda and Maria Clara.  He died at the age of 57 on December 9th, 1945 in Antwerpen.1
