No. 6 Karel Gaethofs
Carolus was born on November 10th, 1894 in Antwerpen.  Carolus' father was Karel (Carolus Charles) Gaethofs and his mother was Dorothea Stephania Pluckers.  His paternal grandparents were Josephus Gaethofs and Anna Christina Van Eerdewegh; his maternal grandfather was Ludovicus Pluckers and his maternal grandmother is Maria Blondina Bervoets.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Augustinus, Henri, Eugeen, Maria Antonia, Maria Coleta, Bernardina and Rosalia Maria.  He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.  He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Josephus, Pieter Jan, Rosalia Seraphina, Maria Philomena, Regina, Maria Catherina Mathilda and Maria Clara.  He died at the age of 83 on December 18th, 1977 in Antwerpen.
