Agnes was born in 1260 in Paris, Isle de France, France.1   Agnes' father was Saint, King Louis Capet of France IX and her mother was Marguerite Berenger of Provence.  Her paternal grandparents were King Louis (The Lion) Capet of France VIII and Princess Blanche Alphonsa of Castile; her maternal grandparents were 4th Count of Provence Raymond Berenger V and Beatrice of Savoy. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Louis, The Bold, John, John-Tristan, Robert, Isabella, Blanche and Margaret.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 67 in 1327 in Abbaye de Citeaux.1

Agnes and Robert were married in 1279 in Paris, Isle de France, France.1   They had five sons and four daughters, named Jean, Hugues, Louis, Robert, Eudes, Blanche, Marguerite, Jeanne and Marie.
