Henry, known as Curtmantel, was born on March 25th, 1133 in Le Mans, Anjou, Sarthe, France.1   Curtmantel's father was Geoffrey (The Fair) Plantagenate Of Anjou IV and his mother was Empress Of Normandy Matilda of England.  His paternal grandparents were King of Jerusalem Fulk (The Young) D'Anjou V and Ermengard of Maine; his maternal grandparents were King Henry (Beauclerc) England I and Matilda of Scotland. He had a brother named William.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named of Anjou, Emma, Constance and Bertha.  He died at the age of 56 on July 6th, 1189 in Chinon near Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France.  He was buried on July 8th, 1189 in Fontevrault Abbey, Fontevrault, Maine-Et-Loire, France.2 1
