Isabella was born about 1187 in Angouleme, Charente, France.  Isabella's father was Aimer de Taillefer and her mother was Alix Adelaide De Joigny Courtenay Courtenay.  Her paternal grandparents were William IV de Angouleme Taillefer and Marguerite De Turenne; her maternal grandparents were Pierre I De Courtenay and Elizabeth Isabelle De Courtenay.  She was an only child.  She died on May 31st, 1246 in Fontevrault Abbey, Maine-et-Loire, France.  She was buried in Fontevrault Abbey, Maine-et-Loire, France.


Isabella's first family with John "Soft Sword"

‌Isabella and John "Soft were married in a religious ceremony on August 24th, 1200 in Bordeaux Cathedral, Gascony.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Henry III of, Richard of, Eleanor of, Isabella of and Joan of.


Isabella's second family with Hugh X Le Brun "The Brown" De Lusignan

‌Isabella and Hugh X Le Brun "The Brown" were married in a religious ceremony in 1220.  They had five sons and four daughters, named Hugh XI, Aymer, Geoffrey, Guy, William, Agnes, Alice Brun, Isabelle and Marguerite.
