Martin *Hemings

Martin was born in 1755 in Monticello,Abemarle Co.,VA.  Martin's father is *Unknown slave man and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Hemings.  His maternal grandparents are Captain John Hemings and Biabaye Eppes. He has three sisters named Mary, Betty and Nancy.  He is the second oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert, James, Peter, John Nelson, Thenia, Critty, Sally and Lucy.
