Betty *Brown

Betty was born in 1759 in Monticello,Abemarle Co.,VA.  Betty's father is *Unknown slave man and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Hemings.  Her maternal grandparents are Captain John Hemings and Biabaye Eppes. She has a brother and two sisters, named Martin, Mary and Nancy.  She is the second youngest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert, James, Peter, John Nelson, Thenia, Critty, Sally and Lucy.
