Rachel was born on October 3rd, 1779 in STAUNTON, VA, NEAR BEDFORD. Rachel's father was James GREER and her mother was Elizabeth Greer. Her paternal grandfather was Benjamin Greer and her paternal grandmother is Rachel Lowe; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Greer Twin and Ann Lowe. She had six brothers and a sister, named Isaac, EZEKIEL (SR), Isaiah, John, Mathew, Benjamin and Rhoda. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died after 1836 in , VA.-
